Tomenko, the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine mentioned that problems of armed forces of Ukraine it is, first of all, the matter of the President but not the Government.
M. Tomenko reminded that when it concerns the principal issues, the coalition in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine makes everything possible in order to adopt the relevant decisions. As an example he spoke about the election of P. Poroshenko on the office of the Minister on Foreign Affairs. "We vote not that much for the Petro Poroshenko as for the Minister on Foreign Affairs in our country as its absence weakens the state", - the politician declared.
Concerning the office of the Ministers on Defense of Ukraine and situation in the Ukrainian army that, according to his words is first of all question for the President who is the Supreme Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces.
M. Tomenko proclaimed that for four months already the President has not suggested the candidate for this post. Still, the Vice-Chairman is convinced that if the President had already suggested the appropriate candidate for this office, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine would have adopted it long ago.
"Consequently the criticizing of the Government or Parliament concerning the Armed Forces problem id groundless", - M. Tomenko informed.
